Nikola Iliev leads the Canadian Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce. He is responsible for managing the executive office and, together with the Board, committee members, and other Chamber members, for developing and implementing CBCC’s programs and strategies.
Deputy Executive Director
Silvia Pissarova assists at leading the Canadian Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and supports the Executive Director in all management tasks and activities.
Head of Government, Public Affairs & Lobbying
Dimitar Petrov serves as liaison between businesses in Bulgaria and Canada and the government entities. Dimitar Petrov is responsible for engaging with members to conduct economic climate surveys, policy studies, and advocacy efforts. He is also tasked to increase the Chamber’s presence in through conducting business missions and engaging with partners.
Head of Corporate Governance
Dimitar Hristev advises large multinational companies on corporate governance issues.
Head of Research
Rayna Petrova contributes to domestic and regional Chamber’s publications and analyses. She is also responsible for engaging with the Bulgarian government, organizing and implementing regional business missions, and supporting the Board of Directors.
Head of Membership
Nikolay Dimov leads the membership engagement team and is responsible for implementing growth and retention strategies for the Chamber.
Head of Marketing, PR & Business Development
Violeta Vassileva is responsible for marketing, recruiting and retaining members, PR, business development, and enhancing membership growth. She works with member companies to maximise their brand exposure through marketing collaboration, advertising and sponsorship vehicles.
Head of Corporate Events
Elena Georgieva is responsible for managing and executing Chamber’s events which include breakfast meetings, luncheon briefings, conferences, seminars, round tables and social events. She sources speakers and identifies topics that are relevant to the business community in Bulgaria and Canada, and is also responsible for planning and managing Chamber’s annual AGM.
Head of Programming and Committee Relations
Bozhidar Kirchev is responsible for managing Chamber’s industry focused committees, as well as, all Government related events. He works closely with the Committee Chairs to produce relevant and timely topics for each committee.
Head of Finance and Accounting
Teodora Mutafchiyska is responsible for Chamber’s finance and accounting.
Head of Administration
Anna Tomova is responsible for Chamber’s administration and prepares the monthly reports for the Board of Directors.
Head of IT & Support Services
Peter Argirov manages the Chamber’s technology systems and ensures our IT assets are maintained.
